There are numerous ways in which one can resort to when whitening one's teeth. But here are the natural ways of whitening one's teeth:

1.Brushing or Rinsing After Eating

One of the best ways to whiten your teeth naturally is to simply brush your teeth with an appropriate toothpaste after eating or drinking something.
Avoiding smoking cigarettes, drinking too much coffee and/or soda, improving your oral hygiene overall, and eating a healthy diet can all also help prevent yellow teeth. If you do regularly drink staining beverages, do so through a straw and try to cut back. Try to drink more plain water after eating or drinking something staining or acidic to help reduce the negative effects.

2. Hydrogen peroxide.

Hydrogen peroxide is an antibacterial agent and which works great as a total mouth and gum cleaner and keeps the mouth free of germs. Before using hydrogen peroxide, make sure that your teeth aren’t too sensitive. A good oral mouth rinse can be made using hydrogen peroxide; use half water and half hydrogen peroxide, swish around in your mouth for about one minute, and then rinse. However, this whitening technique isn’t recommended for frequent use as it can harm your enamel.

3.Clay

Clay has a unique ability to be very soft (low abrasive) yet able to polish more effectively.  In fact, one specific type of clay, white kaolin clay, has the high score from the research on its cleaning efficiency. This cleaning efficiency is a combination of a low abrasive score and a high ability to remove stains. While any clay is decent, white kaolin clay is the best by quite a bit.

Mix the kaolin clay with a bit of water and apply to your teeth about once a week (don’t overuse to avoid damaging your teeth’s enamel). Rinse well. You may want to try blending in a few drops of clove oil or peppermint oil to improve the flavour. Plus these oils also have antimicrobial properties.

4.Coconut Oil Pulling

Oil Pulling is one of the common natural way of teeth whitening if not the most common methods. The reason oil pulling is our favourite solution for naturally whitening our teeth is that unlike so many whitening methods that have risks of damaging enamel and gum tissue, oil pulling actually helps reduce tooth decay and gingivitis. The downside to oil pulling is it does take some time to actively swishing oil around the mouth.

To oil pull, simply put a spoonful of coconut oil in your mouth and swish it between your teeth for 5 to 20 minutes, or add a few drops to your toothbrush and brush it on. Another oral care option is to apply coconut oil to a corner of a clean washcloth and rub it on the teeth.

Other Methods Are:
  • Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Guava Leaves
  • Turmeric
  • Salt and Lemon to name a few.
