Low T: 9 Signs Of Low Testosterone Level Every Men Should Know

Testosterone is a male hormone that plays a vital role in regulating a men's fertility. Low testosterone can occur in men of all ages. Often times low T as it been called is common among older men. According to a study in the journal cell metabolism, low T cause lead to high blood pressure, increase the risk of type-2-diabetes, obesity and so on.


When the level of testosterone drops to a lower level it results in different health implications such as erectile dysfunction and poor libido. But is low testosterone treatable? Yes, it is by undergoing a process called Hormonal Replacement Therapy (HRT)  which can help reverse common low testosterone symptoms.

Here are the signs of lower Testosterone level


1. Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile Dysfunction usher first and foremost sign of lower testosterone in men. If you are having difficulties gaining erection prior to sex or difficulties maintaining it, then you should suspect that T level is getting low.

Also, there are others health issues that can lead to Erectile dysfunction, such as diabetes, thyroid problems, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, smoking, alcohol use, depression, stress, anxiety.

2. Mood Change.

Men with low T often time experience mood swings, and the reason is that testosterone influences many physical processes in the body. Several researchers suggest that men with low T are more likely to be faced with depression, irritability or lack of focus.

3. Gut Problems

With low T, you might have issues with your gut and it may be as a result of poor digestion, or constant diarrhoea, while this happens is that the gut communicates directly with the brain to release hormones and one of such hormones is called Cortisol. Poor gut health triggers a stress response and eventually going to release cortisol.

4. Poor libido

Testosterone is a key role in libido in men. As men's age the desire to have sex decline. However, someone with low testosterone will likely experience rapid drops in such desire.

5. Loss of Muscle Mass

Another sign of low testosterone is low muscle mass and it can be noticed in the process of you trying to grain muscle and it is not developing in proportion to the workout.

6. Fatigue

Someone suffering from low T can experience extreme fatigue and a decrease in energy levels.

7. Osteoporosis

If your T level is too low, there are chances of you having a fragile bone with an increased possibility to fracture is high and this process is called osteoporosis. Normally, our body constantly absorbs and replaces bone tissue,  but if you have osteoporosis, new bone creation doesn't keep up with old bone removal.

8. Long Refractory Period

Refractory Period is the period in which you recover from a sex session or an organism.  When that refractory period took so long to the point where you can't have sex more than once in 24 hours. It not a good sign. But with healthy testosterone, you should be able to have a Refractory Period of 20-30 minutes or less.

9. Gynecomastia
